At the time of the incident, the baby was being taken through the lane outside his house by his aunt when a dog suddenly emerged from a nearby property and pounced on them. Both the helpless infant and the brave aunt who rushed to save him sustained severe injuries in the brutal assault.

The incident took place in Sikka Colony of Sonipat. According to available details, the six-month-old baby was being carried by his aunt through the street. While people were sitting around in the vicinity, a dangerous pitbull dog suddenly rushed out of a house at high speed and charged directly at the infant. The retrieved CCTV footage clearly shows how the dog clamped down on the baby. Disregarding her own safety, the child's aunt immediately stepped forward to rescue him and grappled with the animal. The dog attacked her as well, leaving both of them grievously bleeding from the deep wounds inflicted during the struggle.

The pitbull attack left the six-month-old child critically injured. Amidst the screams and panic that erupted at the scene, family members rushed the victims to a local medical facility. Given the extremely critical and fragile condition of the infant, doctors immediately referred him to PGIMS Rohtak for advanced care. At present, the baby is undergoing treatment at PGIMS Rohtak, where he remains hospitalized and is battling hard between life and death.
