A special welfare initiative is being rolled out for Divyangjan in Faridabad to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On September 17, under the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, selected Divyang beneficiaries from the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency will be handed electric scooters. The core objective of this initiative is to ease the daily commutes of Divyang individuals and empower them to become self-reliant, reducing their dependence on others for essential travel.
Event at Rudra Banquet
The distribution event is scheduled for September 17 at Rudra Banquet located on Mathura Road. Organizers noted that this is the first time such a large-scale initiative to provide electric scooters to Divyangjan is being undertaken in the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency, aligning the effort closely with public service. This support will greatly assist individuals who face daily commuting hurdles and struggle to travel for their mandatory chores.
Reducing Dependence on Others
Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar stated that acquiring these electric scooters will simplify daily routines for Divyangjan and significantly cut down their reliance on others. He added that numerous programs linked to public welfare and community service are lined up throughout the month under this campaign. Across various parts of the nation, service-oriented events are being organized to mark the Prime Minister's birthday.
Nationwide Service Events
Preparations are underway in Gujarat to light 76,000 lamps, carry out tree plantation drives, and conduct various other social programs. Additionally, a Sewa Sankalp bike rally will be flagged off between Vadnagar and Varanasi. These birthday celebrations strongly emphasize coupling festive cheer with the direct delivery of assistance and support to diverse sections of society.
