A shocking incident has emerged from Mal Chauki village in the Chaurasi police station area of Dungarpur district, where a young bride was found hanging in her home this past Sunday. The deceased, identified as Kalpana, wife of Arvind Rot, had been married for only two months. The discovery of her body has sent a wave of alarm throughout the surrounding region. Upon receiving the report, local police arrived at the scene, secured the premises, and initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances of the death.
According to the Chaurasi police, Kalpana was alone at the residence when the incident occurred. Her husband, Arvind Rot, along with her father-in-law, were away in Ahmedabad for work purposes. Following the discovery of her body, local residents alerted the authorities. The police arrived promptly, took custody of the remains, and transferred them for a post-mortem examination as part of the standard protocol.
Father Levels Serious Allegations
The investigation took a turn when the father of the deceased, Lakshman Amra Damor, a resident of Gada Malji in the Sadar police station area, filed a formal complaint at the Chaurasi police station. He alleged that his daughter had been subjected to constant harassment regarding dowry demands ever since her marriage. Furthermore, he expressed strong suspicion that his daughter was murdered. Based on this complaint, the police have registered a case. A medical board conducted an autopsy, and the body was handed over to the family members after the formalities were completed. Police officials stated that further action will be determined based on the post-mortem report and other evidence gathered from the scene.
Investigation Under DSP Supervision
The case is currently being investigated under the direction of Simalwara DSP Madanlal Vishnoi. Police are examining every angle to uncover the actual cause of the incident. Officials have indicated that the ongoing investigation relies on autopsy results, forensic findings, and other relevant facts. The police clarified that the true circumstances surrounding the death will only be established once the investigation is concluded thoroughly.
