The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP asserted on Sunday that the explicit condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack at the BRICS summit serves as a resounding diplomatic victory for India and a decisive setback for Pakistan alongside all sponsors of cross-border terror. Party spokesperson Altaf Thakur described the development as a landmark achievement for the nation's foreign policy. He emphasized that the collective stance taken by the BRICS member nations proves that India's persistent efforts to highlight terrorism on international platforms have earned widespread global recognition.
A strong message against state-sponsored terrorism
Altaf Thakur further elaborated that the unified consensus within the grouping represents a definitive failure of Pakistan's ongoing propaganda campaigns. He alleged that the leadership was rolling out a red carpet for China despite Beijing having previously supported Pakistan during Operation सिंदूर. PDP raises concerns over global standing
Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti also weighed in on the matter during an interaction with reporters in Srinagar. She stated that the Prime Minister missed a crucial opportunity at the BRICS summit to firmly underscore India's historic role as a global champion of human rights. Mufti argued that given the platform and the diplomatic weight as a host, a more forceful and uninhibited articulation of the nation's stance was expected, but the leadership chose a much more cautious approach in its statements.
