To fulfill this long-standing resolution, devotional chanting takes place continuously 24 hours a day across four distinct daily shifts. According to Chief Priest Dhananjay Kumar Pathak, the sanctum sanctorum houses an intricate statue of Radha-Krishna crafted from Ashtadhatu, an eight-metal alloy, alongside an idol of Laddu Gopal representing the child form of Lord Krishna.
Special Rohini Nakshatra Rituals from 9 PM to Midnight on Janmashtami
Grand religious proceedings are organized at the temple complex on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. On 4 August, special worship of Laddu Gopal will take place under the auspicious Rohini Nakshatra between 9:00 PM and 12:00 midnight. At precisely midnight, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna is celebrated with immense devotion. During the midnight ceremony, new sacred garments are offered to the Ashtadhatu idols of Radha-Krishna, followed by a special bhog offering. A grand evening Maha Aarti precedes the midnight worship.
