A four-year-old boy hailing from Chhattisgarh, who mysteriously vanished from right outside the Ranchi railway station, has been safely rescued from the Sahibganj district of Jharkhand. The swift and coordinated efforts of police teams spanning multiple districts successfully traced the child and led to multiple arrests, bringing immense relief to his grieving family.
How the Disappearance Unfolded at the Station
The child's mother, Dilmet Rajwarhe, was returning home to Chhattisgarh with her children after working in Salem, Andhra Pradesh. Accompanied by four-year-old Vivan Kumar and six-year-old daughter Princy Kumari, she arrived in Ranchi on September 24. While standing outside the railway terminal and inquiring with auto-rickshaw drivers about the bus stand heading towards Ambikapur, young Vivan suddenly went missing from her side.
CCTV Footage Sparks the Investigation
Failing to locate her son despite an extensive frantic search, the distressed mother lodged a formal written complaint at the Chutia police station. Promptly taking cognizance of the matter, the Ranchi police launched an extensive review of security camera footage installed around the station and nearby areas. The digital clues obtained from these cameras pointed investigators toward Dhanबाद, resulting in the apprehension of one suspect from the district.
The Trail Leading from Dhanbad to Sahibganj
Following the leads extracted during the interrogation of the individual detained in Dhanbad, the investigation expanded toward the Sahibganj region. A specialized team of Ranchi police, operating under the leadership of Chutia police station inspector Poonam Kujur, arrived in Sahibganj. With the active cooperation of local law enforcement, they raided the Babupada area under the Sahibganj police station limits and successfully rescued the child.
Ongoing Interrogations to Uncover the Full Conspiracy
Authorities have taken strict legal action following the recovery of the minor. While one person was initially arrested from Dhanbad, approximately four individuals from Sahibganj were detained and subsequently arrested after rigorous questioning. Law enforcement agencies are currently interrogating the accused individuals to determine the exact method by which the child was transported from Ranchi to Sahibganj and to identify any other accomplices involved in the abduction.
