With the festive spirit of Navratri taking over, traditional celebrations of Garba and Dandiya are gaining massive momentum. Dressed in colorful heritage attire, revellers across cities look forward to swaying to folk beats with wooden sticks. Carrying forward this festive cheer, Palamu is set to host dedicated festive evenings, featuring an exclusive Dandiya Night tailored specifically for women, followed by a separate celebration arranged exclusively for children.
Exclusive Evening for Women on October 8
Local enthusiasm for traditional folk dance has witnessed a sharp surge, with women eagerly preparing to participate in customary festive dresses alongside friends and family. Acknowledging this vibrant community interest, Preeti Raj Gupta, head of Preet Kala Dance Studio, has curated a focused gathering to celebrate the occasion. The dedicated women-only Dandiya Night is scheduled to take place on October 8.
The venue chosen for the gathering is Bajrang Heights, situated near HM Resort in the Redma locality. The program will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. To ensure comfort and a secure festive atmosphere, entry is restricted strictly to women. Furthermore, total participation has been capped at just 100 entries to prevent overcrowding, making advance reservations essential for interested attendees.
Pass Categories and Dining Arrangements
The organizers have introduced two distinct tiers of entry passes for the participants. A standard pass priced at Rs 500 includes access to the event along with a full main course meal. Alternatively, a higher tier pass priced at Rs 1000 provides participants with delicious starters in addition to the main course meal.
Beyond the complimentary dining included with the passes, additional refreshment counters will also be functional at the premises. Attendees wishing to order extra food or customized beverages can purchase them directly through an on-site token system.
Competitions, Training and Live Performances
To heighten festive engagement, the event will feature several competitive segments alongside live musical entertainment. Participants showcasing the most graceful choreography and dancing skills will receive special prizes. Additionally, attendees turning up in the most authentic and striking traditional Dandiya attire will be honored with dedicated awards.
Recognizing that not all attendees might be familiar with the rhythmic footwork, the studio has made arrangements for preparatory training. Enthusiastic participants who lack prior experience can enroll in preparatory coaching sessions ahead of the festive evening to master the dance routines.
Dedicated Children's Dandiya Night on October 10
Following the conclusion of the women's event, the festivities will continue with a special Dandiya celebration curated exclusively for young boys and girls. This children's event is scheduled for October 10, offering young participants an opportunity to showcase their dance talent and embrace cultural traditions.
Booking facilities for both events have been made available via online portals. Prospective attendees can also secure their physical tickets by visiting Preet Dance Academy directly, or purchase them at the venue on the day of the event.
