Following her death, people entering her house discovered 20 sacks packed tightly with coins and paper currency. When the money was finally tallied, the total came to over 30 lakh rupees, with locals estimating the actual sum to be anywhere between 30 and 40 lakh rupees.
The Life of Hour and Her Daily Routine
The elderly woman, known as Hour, lived in the Guttalu Layout area of Mandya city. For numerous years, her daily routine involved sitting outside a local mosque to ask passersby for financial assistance. Mosque visitors became deeply familiar with her presence over the years. Whenever people inquired about her situation, she would frequently explain that nobody looked after her and her family failed to take proper care of her, leaving her with no alternative but to beg in order to survive. She spent a major portion of her life navigating these difficult circumstances.
The Shocking Discovery After Her Death
As she advanced in age, Hour contracted a serious illness that ultimately led to her passing. Concerned neighbors stepped forward to arrange and conduct her final rites. Right after the funeral ceremonies concluded, several people went inside her home and were left completely speechless by what they encountered. The interior contained numerous sacks stacked together. Upon opening them, volunteers found vast quantities of loose coins and paper banknotes.
