Vivo has placed a fresh bet in the premium foldable space. The company's new book-style foldable, the Vivo X Fold 6, is now official in China, and it arrives with a long list of upgrades. The biggest talking points this time are its 7,000mAh battery, a 200MP Zeiss camera and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset built on a 3nm process. Rounding things off is an 8.02-inch Samsung AMOLED foldable display.
Display And Design
Open the phone and you get an 8.02-inch AMOLED panel inside with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside sits a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display that also offers a 120Hz refresh rate, along with HDR support and a DCI-P3 colour gamut. On the software side it runs OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16. For durability, it carries an IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance rating.
Processor, RAM And Storage
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. For security, the phone offers both a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Camera Setup
For photography fans, the Vivo X Fold 6 features a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup. It includes a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that supports up to 100x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, both the inner and outer displays carry a 20MP camera. On the video front, the phone can shoot in 8K as well.
Battery And Connectivity
The phone is powered by a large 7,000mAh battery that supports both 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, NavIC and NFC.
Price And Availability
The base Vivo X Fold 6, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at CNY 7,999 (around ₹1.11 lakh). The 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 8,999 (around ₹1.25 lakh), the 16GB + 512GB model is CNY 9,999 (around ₹1.39 lakh) and the 16GB + 1TB variant comes in at CNY 10,999 (around ₹1.53 lakh). The company has also introduced a special Black Gold Edition priced at CNY 11,299 (around ₹1.57 lakh). The phone goes on sale in China from July 1.
