The national capital has welcomed the NCR region's very first Jurassic park, which has now officially opened its doors to the public. Established within the premises of the National Science Center, this attraction has been named the prehistoric gallery. The moment visitors step inside this dinosaur-themed exhibition space, they are immediately transported to the era when these massive creatures roamed the earth, surrounded by realistic dinosaur roars echoing through the halls and occasional artificial volcanic setups.
The entire gallery features various species of dinosaurs crafted to move, make sounds, and startle onlookers. This unique gallery was formally inaugurated at the National Science Center on August 26. As word spreads among the public, tourists from across the country and even from abroad have started visiting to witness the dinosaurs and the striking beauty of the gallery. This marks the first such installation across the entire Delhi-NCR region where artificial intelligence has been integrated to create dinosaur dummies that look astonishingly lifelike.
National Science Center Chief Curator Moinuddin Ansari shared that the gallery was launched on August 26. He noted that an older gallery previously existed at the center, but it lacked the excitement and modern appeal found in the newly renovated space, which has been well received by visitors. According to him, it took approximately one year to complete the development of this gallery. The ticket for this attraction has been kept integrated with the general admission ticket of the National Science Center itself, priced at 100 rupees per person.
Anyone who purchases a ticket to the National Science Center gains access to this gallery as part of the standard entry. Ansari explained that the operational timings of the National Science Center are from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the final tickets issued until 5:00 PM. The center houses a total of 10 galleries, all of which are covered under the single entry fee of 100 rupees per person. However, separate tickets are required for special shows organized within the premises.
Visitors looking to explore this unique, mysterious, and entertaining Jurassic park gallery can reach the National Science Center located on Bhairon Marg, in close proximity to Bharat Mandapam. For those traveling by metro, the Supreme Court metro station is the closest transit point. Parking charges at the venue are set at 100 rupees for four-wheelers and 40 rupees for two-wheelers. Along with the new Jurassic park gallery, visitors can explore 10 different galleries, making it a particularly popular destination for children.
