Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar clarified that there is currently no proposal to install CCTV camera systems across all RTC buses. Speaking in the Assembly on Thursday (September 10, 2026), he noted that the corporation has independently fitted CCTV units in its EV models and premium vehicles. Additionally, cameras were set up in RTC buses operating in Adilabad through a joint effort with the local Superintendent of Police. He added that similar installations would be rolled out to other vehicles depending on requirement.
