The Israeli military issued a directive in the early hours of Monday, September 7, 2026, instructing civilians in Deir Zahrani, southern Lebanon, to vacate a particular zone before it moves against Hezbollah, the armed group backed by Iran. The army confirmed that an explosive-laden drone had been fired at its troops and stated that Hezbollah's militant activity was leaving the IDF with no alternative but to respond with considerable force, though no information was given on whether any soldiers sustained injuries.
