A tragic road accident unfolded in the Gangyal area of Jammu, involving a vehicle attached to the official convoy of Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary. According to the details emerging from local authorities, a pedestrian lost his life after being hit by one of the escort vehicles. The incident occurred while the convoy was making its return journey after safely dropping off the Deputy Chief Minister at his residence located in Kunjwani.
The Incident In Gangyal
Official sources confirmed that the victim who lost his life in the collision has been identified as Bharat, a native of Bihar. At the time of the mishap, Bharat was attempting to cross a road in the outer area of Gangyal. As the convoy was passing through, one of the accompanying vehicles struck him, leaving him with severe and critical injuries from the impact.
Attempted Hospitalization And Demise
Immediate steps were taken following the collision as the vehicle driver and the security personnel accompanying the convoy rushed to assist the injured man. They immediately took him into a vehicle to transport him to a medical facility for urgent treatment. However, the injuries sustained proved fatal, and the victim succumbed to them while on the way to the hospital.
