Security forces and police personnel in Jammu and Kashmir have significantly intensified operational measures across key districts to maintain regional stability and safeguard religious pilgrimages. A comprehensive joint search operation launched in the Reasi district following reports of suspicious individuals has progressed into its third consecutive day. Simultaneously, neighboring Rajouri district has been placed under a high-alert security grid, incorporating modern anti-drone defense technologies to protect devotees attending the annual Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra.
Intensive Combing Operations Across Reasi Terrain
The heightened security drive in Reasi district was initiated after security agencies tracked unusual and suspicious movement in the area over recent days. Multi-agency teams comprising security forces and local police are systematically scanning dense forest belts, potential transit routes, and surrounding hill tracks. Authorities emphasized that the primary objective of this ongoing operation is to trace any unauthorized individuals, assess potential security vulnerabilities, and eliminate threats in a timely manner. Security personnel are actively verifying intelligence received from local channels while reinforcing checkpoints and surveillance in sensitive zones.
Anti-Drone Defense System Deployed at Rajouri Yatra Base
In Rajouri district, security protocols have been substantially upgraded to provide comprehensive protection for pilgrims participating in the Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra. Following the arrival of the second batch of devotees at the designated Rajouri Yatra Ground, security agencies deployed an advanced anti-drone defense system at the venue. This specialized technology is designed to detect, track, and neutralize potential aerial threats or unauthorized unmanned aerial vehicles. To further fortify the perimeter, additional security units have been posted along pilgrimage routes and at key strategic points.
Round-the-Clock CCTV Monitoring and Community Vigilance
To ensure safe transit for all devotees, security agencies are keeping continuous watch over the pilgrimage route using closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras operating 24 hours a day. Tactical units remain in alert mode to respond swiftly to any emerging situation. Alongside these operational measures, senior law enforcement officials have appealed to local residents to remain vigilant and cooperative. Citizens have been urged to contact the police immediately if they observe any unfamiliar persons or suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
