Chhotelal Verma, the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the legislative assembly from the Fatehabad constituency in Uttar Pradesh's Agra district, passed away at a hospital in Noida. The legislator had been suffering from high fever for the past two days before his condition deteriorated sharply. Following the sudden worsening of his health, he was taken to the Noida facility, where he breathed his last during medical treatment. News of his death brought deep grief across his constituency and party circles.
Health Complications and Hospitalization
Verma had fallen ill with high fever two days prior to his passing. As his condition took a turn for the worse, he was admitted to a medical centre in Noida to receive specialized attention. Despite medical interventions, doctors could not stabilize his health, and he succumbed to the illness. The state Chief Minister also expressed sorrow over the demise of the veteran public representative.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared his condolences on social media platform X following the news. Paying tribute to the legislator, Singh remarked that Verma was a grassroots leader who worked tirelessly to strengthen the party organization across the state.
