The operational phase of Exercise Tarang Shakti has commenced in Jodhpur, bringing together elite air wings from across the globe alongside the Indian Air Force. Addressing the gathering during the multinational event in Rajasthan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasised the importance of building robust tactical and operational synergy among participating partner nations.
Historic Gathering of International Air Powers
Marked as one of the largest multinational drills hosted by the Indian Air Force, the exercise features active participation from seven foreign air forces. The multilateral engagement aims to deepen military collaboration and operational interoperability across modern aerial warfare domains, preparing allied forces for complex joint missions.

Speaking at the venue in Jodhpur, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh noted in a post on social media that the primary objective of the exercise is to bolster joint operational readiness among friendly countries. He highlighted how such collaborative platforms allow partner militaries to integrate tactical procedures and refine joint operational capabilities against evolving global threats.
Frontline Combat Aircraft in Action
The exercise features premier aviation assets, including the debut of the United States' F-35 Lightning II in military drills within India, which officials highlighted as a significant milestone for bilateral defense coordination. France’s Air and Space Force deployed units under Mission Pégase 26, bringing Rafale fighter jets, Multi Role Tanker Transports (MRTTs), and A400M transport aircraft to the Jodhpur base. Alongside Germany's A400M aircraft, India's indigenous Tejas fighter joins the airspace, enabling interoperability drills across diverse modern combat platforms.
