A violent shooting incident shook Karachi's Lyari neighborhood on Thursday evening, leaving Zubair Baloch, the 40-year-old brother of notorious gangster Uzair Baloch, critically injured. Armed assailants targeted Zubair outside his residence, sparking immediate panic across the area. Two innocent passersby were also caught in the crossfire and sustained injuries during the sudden attack. Emergency responders quickly transported the wounded Zubair Baloch to a medical facility, where surgical teams worked urgently to stabilize his condition following severe gunshot wounds.
Unfolding of the Attack in Singu Lane
The ambush took place while Zubair Baloch was standing outside his house in the Singu Lane area. Two unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle approached him and opened fire indiscriminately without warning. Multiple bullets struck Zubair directly in the chest and abdomen, causing him to collapse to the ground. Seeing the shooting unfold, a nearby shopkeeper displayed remarkable presence of mind and fired back at the gunmen. Confronted with unexpected retaliatory fire, the two attackers covered their faces and hastily escaped from the scene on their motorcycle.

Following the incident, Zubair Baloch was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for emergency medical attention. Medical personnel confirmed that he suffered critical injuries to his chest and stomach, requiring immediate surgical intervention. Law enforcement personnel swiftly secured the crime scene to gather evidence and track down the culprits. South DIG Syed Asad Raza stated that authorities are examining the ambush from multiple angles, evaluating possibilities such as active gang rivalries, longstanding personal enmities, and other underlying motives.
