Pakistani military airstrikes struck civilian areas across the eastern Afghan provinces of Kunar and Paktika in the early hours of the morning, killing three members of the same family and injuring four others. According to Afghan officials, the bombardment struck a residential home around 3:00 AM in Pathan village, located within the Nurgal district of Kunar province. The blast claimed the lives of three individuals from the same household, including Noor Ahmad, while leaving four others wounded. Officials confirmed that two children and two women were among the dead and injured, triggering sharp anger among local residents.
Simultaneous Air Raids Reported in Paktika
Alongside the Kunar strike, air raids also pounded the Barmal district of Paktika province. Afghan authorities stated that bombs were dropped on two distinct locations within Barmal during the operation. The twin strikes demonstrate an expanding theater of cross-border military actions along the disputed frontier.
