Stepping up its political offensive to counter the opposition bloc's joint demonstrations, the Bharatiya Janata Party has rolled out widespread street agitations across key urban centres. As rival parties intensify their campaign questioning electoral outcomes, the ruling party is asserting its grassroots presence by coordinating dual demonstrations: a solemn march alongside families impacted by the 1984 anti-Sikh violence in the national capital, coupled with a massive political procession in neighbouring Haryana.
Solidarity Procession with Riot Families in New Delhi
In the capital, the party's leadership is centering its public engagement around the grievances of those who suffered during the 1984 communal pogrom. Union Minister Hardeep Puri is scheduled to spearhead this foot march alongside several prominent party functionaries and affected families. By placing historical issues of accountability and justice at the forefront, the party intends to mount a fierce ideological challenge to rival factions on Delhi's streets.
Massive Gathering Planned Across 12 Haryana Districts
Simultaneously, the political focus shifts to Haryana's commercial hub of Rohtak, where the party is staging an expansive regional rally. BJP National President Nitin Nabin and state in-charge Smriti Irani will personally lead the demonstration through the heart of the city. Grassroots party workers spanning 12 neighbouring districts have been mobilised to join the procession, effectively transforming the local event into a major showcase of organisational cohesion.
Designated Route and Traffic Diversions in Rohtak
To facilitate the heavy movement of demonstrators, local authorities have put special transit measures in place. Commencing at 11:00 AM from the Chhotu Ram Polytechnic Ground, the marchers will traverse the Delhi Road past the Jat College institution before culminating at Model Town's D Park Bapu Park. Local traffic police have diverted vehicular routes across critical arterial roads to prevent civic bottlenecks. At the journey's conclusion, the party president will lay floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located inside the park premises.
Pushback Against Vote Theft Allegations
This coordinated street action forms an integral component of the ruling party's broader nation-spanning initiative aimed at dispelling claims of voter fraud and democratic subversion propagated by rival alliances. By engaging the public directly through organized foot marches, the party aims to project stability, counter opposition-led narratives, and strengthen cadre enthusiasm ahead of coming electoral challenges.
