Donald Trump has once again praised his own administration's achievements, declaring a massive military victory over Iran. In a series of social media posts, he criticized former presidents and international allies, asserting that the state of the United States is now significantly better than before. Writing on Truth Social, he highlighted his military success against the Iranian regime.
Sharp Criticisms Directed at Democratic Leaders
Donald Trump wrote that the far-left and Democrats can now witness the immense success achieved in the conflict against Iran. He asserted that Iran is now completely defeated from a military perspective. Turning his focus to Barack Obama, Trump accused the former president of handing over billions of dollars in cash to Iran while failing to utilize the American military in the way it should have been deployed.
He also took a swipe at Joe Biden, calling him "Sleepy" and stating that Iran viewed him as a weak leader, adding that Iran was one hundred percent correct in that assessment. Trump claimed that Iran had avoided accountability for 47 years, but the situation changed completely after his administration took over. He concluded his statement by declaring that America is back.
The Spark: Barack Obama's NBC Interview
Trump's aggressive remarks were triggered by an interview with Barack Obama broadcast on NBC News on Friday night. In that interview, Obama criticized Trump's recent peace agreement, describing it as far worse than the previous JCPOA agreement. This criticism prompted Trump's fierce counterattack on social media.
Targeting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni
In a separate post, Trump targeted Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, bringing up a G7 summit incident where she requested to take a photograph with him. Trump claimed that Meloni's popularity in Italy is currently declining, attributing this drop partly to her failure to support the United States in the conflict against Iran.
He pointed out that while the US spends billions of dollars annually on security to support Italy and NATO allies, Meloni refused to grant the US military permission to use Italian airports and runways. Trump mocked the Italian leader, stating that now that the US has defeated Iran, Meloni is trying to project closeness with the US simply to boost her own popularity.
