Amid the ongoing political tug-of-war over the NEET examination controversy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched a scathing attack on Congress and the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi. Issuing a detailed statement on the social media platform X, the Education Minister accused the primary opposition party of using the future of the youth to serve its own political agenda. He clearly stated that the main objective of the Congress is not to find solutions to the problems faced by students, but rather to create chaos from the streets to the Parliament merely to grab cheap popularity and political headlines. This strong statement comes at a time when the Monsoon session of Parliament is underway, and the opposition is continuously trying to corner the government on the NEET issue.
Strategy Of Disruption In The Monsoon Session
Dharmendra Pradhan wrote on his official X handle that Rahul Gandhi is shamelessly using students as a political weapon to deliberately disrupt the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament. According to the Education Minister, the central government had already made it clear that it was completely ready for a detailed and meaningful discussion on this entire sensitive subject on the floor of the House. Despite this open invitation, the Congress party chose the path of creating a political spectacle instead of participating in a constructive and democratic debate. Questioning the intent of the opposition, he stated that a situation of confrontation is being deliberately manufactured even when all the right and democratic paths for dialogue remain completely open.
Objection To Protests Outside The PM's Residence
The Education Minister also strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi's decision to stage a sit-in protest outside the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He pointed out that such moves not only cause immense inconvenience to the general public but also brazenly ignore the established security protocols in highly secure zones. Pradhan believes that the sole aim of such street demonstrations is to generate media buzz, rather than finding any concrete solution for the millions of students preparing for competitive exams. According to him, this entire sequence of events proves that for the opposition, this matter is no longer about the students at all.
'Students Need Solutions, Not Slogans'
Speaking about the future and rights of the students, the Education Minister emphasized in his post, "Students of India deserve better treatment than being used as pawns in a political campaign." He further added that today's students need certainty in their careers instead of political chaos. They require a genuine solution to their concerns rather than hollow political slogans, and they deserve a responsible attitude instead of unnecessary ruckus. Pradhan clarified that the government's responsibility is not limited to just showing outrage or making rhetorical statements, but extends to bringing actual reforms into the system.
Government's Focus On Accountability And Reforms
Concluding his statement, the Union Minister sought to reassure the youth and their parents across the country. He declared that the current government is fully committed to discussing the NEET controversy in detail within the House and addressing every single legitimate concern of the youth. Pradhan further added that the government's duty is to provide the students with correct answers, implement necessary reforms in the examination system, and ensure accountability in the entire process. He emphasized that the ruling dispensation is committed to doing exactly all this, and they will continue working towards making the system transparent without being distracted by political noise.
