A worrying update has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's political circles. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Rajendra Chaudhary has suffered a heart attack and was admitted to the Civil Hospital in an unconscious state on Friday. As soon as news of his deteriorating health spread, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav rushed to the hospital.

Akhilesh Yadav Reaches Hospital, Briefs Media

Rajendra Chaudhary has long been counted among the influential leaders of the Samajwadi Party and has played an important role in the party since the time of late SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. After arriving at the hospital, Akhilesh Yadav spoke to the media and said that a team of doctors is continuously monitoring Rajendra Chaudhary's health and that his treatment is underway. Akhilesh also clarified that there is currently no plan to shift him to another hospital, and that any such decision would be taken only after the doctors' report comes in.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak Also Visits

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also reached the Civil Hospital to check on Rajendra Chaudhary's condition. He told the media that Rajendra Chaudhary was brought to the Civil Hospital after suffering a heart attack and that his condition is currently being described as stable, with treatment continuing. Pathak further said that cardiologists from the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences have also been consulted regarding Rajendra Chaudhary's health and that specialist doctors have been called in. He added that if required, Chaudhary could be shifted to the Lohia Institute for specialised treatment.

Hospital Director Dr. G.C. Gupta Explains the Sequence of Events

Civil Hospital Director Dr. G.C. Gupta also gave details about Rajendra Chaudhary's health. According to him, Chaudhary was admitted directly to the ICU as soon as he was brought to the hospital. He regained consciousness after some time, following which he was put on a ventilator. Once his condition stabilised, he was transferred to the Lohia Institute.

What Is Acute Myocardial Infarction

Doctors said Rajendra Chaudhary suffered an acute myocardial infarction, also referred to as an anterior wall heart attack, which is considered a severe form of heart attack.
