The political atmosphere in Maharashtra intensified during the Kanwar Yatra when state minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane delivered a controversial speech. Addressing a public gathering, Rane asserted that Mumbai would not entertain 'I Love Mohammad', but strictly 'I Love Mahadev'. His remarks have since ignited widespread discussions across the political spectrum of the state.
Festivals Must Be Celebrated Here, Not in Pakistan
Elaborating on his stance, Nitesh Rane stated that the entire country is a Hindu nation and specifically described Maharashtra and Mumbai as the sacred land of Mahadev. Consequently, every Hindu festival ought to be celebrated with similar grand proportions, which he noted is the collective stance of everyone. Urging his Hindu brothers and sisters in the audience, he maintained that upcoming festivals must be observed with utmost vigor. Because the current government in Maharashtra and the state chief minister hold a Hindutva ideology, everyone should celebrate their traditions with unyielding strength.
He further questioned whether grand celebrations should be shifted to Pakistan and Islamabad if they are not permitted to be held extensively here. Rane argued that since we inhabit a Hindu nation, our festivities rightfully belong right here.
Take Any Route and Pass Any Mosque Without Fear
Addressing religious processions and the Kanwar Yatra, the minister instructed attendees to carry out every upcoming festival without caring about anyone else. He told the gathering that wherever they wish to organize such events, whether it is a Kanwar Yatra or any other procession, and regardless of how large a mosque happens to be in the vicinity, they should harbor no anxiety whatsoever.
Hindutva Leaders Occupy Ministerial Chairs
Assuring the crowd, Nitesh Rane declared that supporters have nothing to fear because their saffron-clad brothers currently occupy ministerial offices and hold state power. He reiterated that Mumbai is Mahadev's territory and only 'I Love Mahadev' will prevail here rather than any contrary slogans. Emphasizing that local legislators are staunch Hindutva practitioners first and lawmakers second, he reassured citizens that officials sit in government chairs precisely to keep everyone safe within Mumbai.
Government Elected by the State's Hindus
Highlighting the electoral mandate, Nitesh Rane underscored that the present Maharashtra administration was chosen by the state's Hindu population. He reminded the audience that voters placed them into ministerial positions, meaning the government stands firmly beside them to guarantee security, strength, and the unhindered celebration of Hindu festivals.
Ready to Wield the Trishul When Needed
Referring to the Kanwar Yatra, the minister told participants to move forward without worry because they live as proud Hindus in Mumbai. Mentioning that Murji Bhai handed over a trishul, he remarked that wielding the divine weapon is now their responsibility, as Mahadev's role is to bestow blessings while human execution follows. In a warning tone, he added that anyone casting an evil eye would be met with trained defensive skills. Previously, Nitesh Rane had stirred debates by remarking that this is Devabhau's Maharashtra where wrongdoers will be pursued and confronted.
