The Bharatiya Janata Party launched a strong attack against the CJP protest held in the national capital, describing the agitation as an utter failure. Senior leader Sambit Patra stated that attempts to hold the capital hostage and derail daily life completely fell flat, as ordinary residents showed no interest in supporting the demonstration.
Sambit Patra Rejects Opposition Demands
Addressing the media, Sambit Patra accused the organizers of trying to create unnecessary disruptions across the city. He remarked that the strategy to gather crowds and paralyze public movement was rejected by the public, leaving the planned agitation as nothing more than a failed show with zero public resonance.
Demonstrations at Jantar Mantar
The protest at Jantar Mantar saw participation from multiple political groups, including the Aam Aadmi Party and Left parties. While leaders gathered to raise various grievances and target administrative policies, the demonstration struggled to project a cohesive message, with different factions focusing on their own separate political agendas.
Sharpening Political Clash
The event has intensified political sparring between the ruling party and opposition groups. BJP representatives maintained that the opposition is running out of constructive issues and is attempting to manufacture controversy. Opposition organizers, on the other hand, argued that their public gathering was intended to register dissent against ongoing policies.
