With panchayat elections approaching in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party has introduced its policy roadmap aimed at rural transformation across the state. Unveiled in Jaipur, the party's 'Gram Vikas Sankalp Patra 2026' focuses heavily on farmer welfare, local infrastructure, and village-level economic development. Guided by the central theme of 'Gram Pratham Viksit Rajasthan', the document outlines a vision to foster self-reliant villages equipped with upgraded roads, clean water, consistent power, education, and modern agricultural support.
Enhanced Income Support and Agricultural Procurement Guarantees
At the core of the electoral pledges is direct financial relief tailored for the agricultural community. The party has pledged to disburse ₹12000 annually to eligible farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi initiative. Addressing long-standing crop valuation demands, the manifesto also commits to procuring wheat at a rate of ₹2700 per quintal. Furthermore, to accelerate grassroots infrastructure, the party has outlined plans to execute development projects averaging ₹5 crore per gram panchayat over the upcoming five-year period.
₹500 Crore Agri-Startup Initiative and Local Service Hubs
To integrate modern entrepreneurship with farming, the BJP has announced a mission backed by an investment of ₹500 crore dedicated to promoting new agricultural startups. To ease operational expenses for cultivators, farm equipment rental centers will be set up across every gram panchayat in a phased rollout. Alongside machinery access, dedicated Kisan Seva Kendras will be established in each panchayat to deliver agricultural guidance, administrative support, and essential farming services directly at the local level.
₹9000 Crore Road Connectivity Drive Across Rural Networks
Recognizing seamless transport as a vital driver of rural prosperity, the manifesto places considerable emphasis on expanding village thoroughfares. A major undertaking involves constructing 19000 kilometers of missing link roads, backed by an expenditure exceeding ₹9000 crore. Through the construction of these missing stretches and the systematic repair of existing village routes, the plan seeks to bridge transit gaps between remote habitations and major regional trade routes.
Universal Piped Water, Daytime Irrigation Power, and School Upgrades
The manifesto also details key public utility commitments aimed at improving daily life for village households. The party has pledged to deliver tap water connections to every rural household and ensure electricity supply for agricultural irrigation during daytime hours. In the education sector, plans include establishing senior secondary school facilities within every gram panchayat, ensuring rural youth gain access to advanced schooling without needing to travel long distances.
