A petty dispute regarding agricultural boundaries escalated into a violent confrontation in Tilwar village, located under the jurisdiction of the Govindgarh police station in Alwar district. What began as a minor disagreement quickly transformed into a bloody clash when a group of ten to twelve individuals allegedly attacked a local family with heavy wooden sticks. The brutal assault left three members spanning three generations of the same family severely injured. Immediately following the incident, the victims were rushed to a nearby medical facility where, after receiving initial first aid, their critical condition prompted doctors to refer them for advanced medical treatment elsewhere.
Dispute Began During Wheat Sowing
According to Reshamvati, a woman from the victimized family, their relatives had gone to their agricultural field on Sunday morning to sow wheat. Upon arriving, they discovered that people from a neighboring household had dumped grass cleared from their own plot directly onto the boundary ridge of the victims' land. Furthermore, soil had been deliberately removed from the ridge. When the family members raised objections and questioned the neighbors about why the grass had been dumped and the soil removed, a heated verbal argument broke out between the two parties.
Reinforcements Called and Violent Assault Ensued
As the argument intensified, the five to seven individuals present at the scene used their phones to summon additional associates. Shortly thereafter, a mob of roughly ten to twelve people gathered at the location, hurled abuses, and launched a ferocious attack using wooden sticks against the family members. The sudden onslaught caused immediate panic and chaos across the fields. The beating resulted in severe injuries to Lekhraj, Rakesh, and Rakesh's young grandson. Family accounts indicate that Rakesh sustained a major head injury along with broken ribs and fractures in other bones. The grandson suffered a serious neck injury accompanied by significant swelling. Due to heavy blood loss, all three were rushed to the hospital immediately, where physicians referred them for specialized care given their worsening condition.
Police Record Statements and Initiate Probe
In the wake of the violent episode, the victims' tractor and various farming equipment were left abandoned in the field. Upon receiving information regarding the incident, officers from the Govindgarh police station arrived at the scene and subsequently visited the hospital to record statements from the injured victims. Authorities have launched a formal investigation into the matter, thoroughly examining the allegations brought forward by the aggrieved family. Police personnel are actively working to establish the precise triggers behind the dispute and identify every individual involved in the attack.
