A long-standing electoral rivalry took a violent turn in Kukdela village located within the Viratnagar region of Jaipur rural, where a group of armed individuals launched a vicious assault inside a residential property. The midnight attack left two residents critically injured, requiring an immediate referral to Jaipur for advanced medical care following initial treatment. The brutal incident sparked widespread outrage among local villagers and community representatives, who gathered outside the Viratnagar police station to protest the inaction and demand the immediate arrest of the culprits, ultimately calling off their demonstration around 1 a.m. following assurances from senior police officials.
Assault Inside Home and Hospital Chaos
According to the official complaint lodged by the aggrieved family, a mob of over a dozen armed individuals equipped with sharp weapons and wooden staves arrived outside the residence of Mahesh SaiNi in Kukdela and began hurling abuses. When Leelaram SaiNi and Rakesh SaiNi stepped forward to intervene and defuse the tense situation, the attackers brutally assaulted them, leaving both severely bleeding and critically wounded. When the victims were rushed to the Viratnagar Community Health Center for medical attention, the assailants tracked them down and attempted to renew the violence inside the hospital premises, creating panic among the staff and patients. Medical professionals examined both wounded individuals and promptly referred them to Jaipur due to their worsening condition.
Villagers and Leaders Protest at the Police Station
Following the alarming episode, the victims' side registered a formal complaint at the Viratnagar police station naming more than a dozen suspects. However, as hours passed without any arrests being made, public anger boiled over, prompting a large assembly of villagers and local leaders to occupy the police station premises to protest perceived police laxity. The sit-in protest saw the participation of prominent figures including Municipal Chairperson Deshraj SaiNi, Vice Chairperson Mahesh Chandra Verma, Virendra Gurjar, SaiNi community president Rohitash SaiNi, Umrao Sankhla, and Prakash SaiNi, alongside numerous area residents.
Protest Concludes After Police Assurances
Throughout the intense demonstration within the station grounds, protestors warned that their agitation would continue until the primary perpetrators were apprehended. Recognizing the sensitivity of the situation, law enforcement officials engaged in discussions with the public representatives. The protest finally came to an end around 1 a.m. after police administration provided both written and verbal guarantees that the suspects would soon be brought to justice. At present, multiple police teams are actively conducting raids at suspected hideouts to trace the accused.
