The district administration and Rajasthan education department have initiated the complete demolition of an unsafe government school building in Rampura-Kanwarpura village, situated within the Bagru region of Jaipur Rural district. Heavy administrative machinery, including bulldozers, JCBs, and Poklain equipment, was deployed to tear down the high-risk structure to ensure the absolute safety of students.
Escalation of Disputes Following Surprise Inspection
The administrative action follows an intense confrontation that took place a few days prior at the school premises. A delegation of CJP workers arrived at the Rampura-Kanwarpura government school to conduct an unannounced inspection of its physical infrastructure and available educational facilities. During the visit, severe concerns were raised regarding the dilapidated state of the classrooms and surrounding structures.
The inspection quickly turned contentious as sharp arguments erupted between the visiting team, local villagers, and members of the school administration. What began as a debate over neglected facilities escalated into a heated physical and verbal clash between the activists and local residents, causing widespread tension across the Rampura-Kanwarpura locality.
Administrative Response and Safety Assessment
Prompted by the public outcry, the outbreak of local unrest, and the evident danger posed by the decaying infrastructure, state authorities stepped in to assess the situation. The education department, alongside senior district administration officials, evaluated an official inspection report that detailed the structural vulnerabilities of the building.
Recognizing that the collapsing walls and roof posed a direct threat to the lives of enrolled children and teaching staff, officials sanctioned immediate clearance of the site.
