The district administration in Kotputli-Behror has stepped up scrutiny and initiated strict disciplinary proceedings against government personnel neglecting administrative duties tied to upcoming elections. District Election Officer Aparna Gupta has placed a motor vehicle inspector under immediate suspension over charges of insubordination and severe dereliction of duty. Simultaneously, show-cause notices have been served to 164 government employees across diverse departments who remained absent from their assigned electoral postings without obtaining prior clearance.
Refusal of Vehicle Requisition Orders and Non-Cooperation
Ravindra Singh Bhati, deployed as a transport inspector and motor vehicle inspector in Behror, had received explicit directives to carry out the statutory requisition of vehicles required for electoral operations. Rather than complying with these administrative instructions, the inspector reportedly refused to execute the orders outright. Further inquiries highlighted that he exhibited non-cooperative conduct and inappropriate behavior toward the officer in charge of the operation. Treating such open insubordination during crucial election preparations with zero tolerance, District Election Officer Aparna Gupta ordered Bhati's immediate suspension from government service to maintain administrative discipline.
Show-Cause Notices Served to 164 Absent Personnel
The punitive actions extended to identifying personnel who abandoned their election-related obligations without administrative authorization. A thorough inspection conducted across various departmental rosters flagged 164 employees who stayed away from election responsibilities without securing prior leave or submitting sanctioned explanations. The district administration has formally served show-cause notices to all 164 identified staff members, directing them to account for their unauthorized absence. The sweeping enforcement signals an uncompromising standard across the district machinery to ensure election preparations proceed without disruption.
