Alongside the contraband, enforcement personnel also apprehended two suspected operatives involved in local logistics.
BSF 118th Battalion Recovers 810 Grams in Kesrisinghpur Area
The first interdiction was executed by troops from the 118th Battalion of the Border Security Force. Acting on specific indicators regarding suspicious movements near the zero line, BSF personnel initiated a cordon-and-search operation in the Chak 13 SB locality situated within the Kesrisinghpur sector.
A rigorous sweep across the border fields uncovered a hidden parcel containing 810 grams of heroin. In the global illicit market, this single seizure is valued at around 3 crore rupees. Following official seizure protocols, the BSF handed over the recovered contraband to the Kesrisinghpur police station for registration of a formal case. Investigators are tracing the local coordinates to identify which smuggling module was assigned to retrieve this cache.
Joint Police Operation Traps Two Motorcyclists in Anupgarh
The second successful interception came through coordinated ground policing by specialized squads. A combined team comprising the District Special Team, Border DST, and officers from the Anupgarh police station was maintaining mobile surveillance in the region. While patrolling near an irrigation canal in the 5K Rohi area, officers spotted two individuals riding a motorcycle under suspicious circumstances.
Upon stopping the two youths for questioning, the team conducted a thorough personal search. The inspection yielded 500 grams of concealed heroin with an estimated international market value of 2.5 crore rupees. Law enforcement promptly arrested both suspects, confiscating the motorcycle and sealing the narcotics evidence on the spot.
Aerial Supply Route via Pakistani Drones Revealed
Preliminary findings from the ongoing police probe confirmed that the 500-gram parcel had been air-dropped across the international border from Pakistan utilizing an unmanned aerial vehicle. The two arrested couriers had been dispatched to collect the package from the drop zone and relay it onward into the inland distribution pipeline.
