Once final approvals are secured from competent levels, officials will lock in the exact dates and duration for the construction block. During the active phase of remodeling, this specific platform will remain completely unavailable for train operations. To prevent passenger inconvenience, railway authorities have already devised a comprehensive alternative operation plan to manage traffic smoothly.
Alternative Platforms Designated For Traffic
Senior divisional commercial manager Saurabh Jain noted that trains normally slated for platform 3 will be re-routed to other available platforms based on operational needs and real-time availability. The alternate tracks designated for this purpose include platform numbers 4, 2, 1, and 1-A, while additional platforms may also be utilized if operational demands arise. The primary objective of the administration is to maintain smooth train movements throughout the construction phase and ensure that commuters face minimal disruption to their journeys.
Four Trains Will Bypass Kota Station Entirely
The upcoming engineering block will require four specific services to bypass Kota station altogether through alternative routing. According to the scheduled traffic plan, train number 14813 Jodhpur-Bhopal, train number 14814 Bhopal-Jodhpur, train number 12181 Jabalpur-Ajmer, and train number 12182 Ajmer-Jabalpur will run via diverted routes through Sogaria. Consequently, none of these four long-distance services will make stops at Kota station during the construction period.
Services Curtailed To Sogaria Station
In addition to complete bypasses, several other routes will experience terminal alterations where journeys will be cut short before reaching the main junction. Train number 19812 Etawah-Kota, train number 22984 Indore-Kota, and train number 61634 Bina-Kota will terminate their runs at Sogaria station instead of entering Kota. Conversely, the return service of train number 61633 Kota-Bina will originate from Sogaria rather than its usual starting point at Kota station, bringing temporary changes to daily commuter patterns.
Rail authorities emphasized that this announcement serves as advance notice to help commuters prepare for the upcoming changes. Once the exact dates and timeframe for the platform block are finalized, a comprehensive list detailing all affected trains and platform allocations will be officially released.
