Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is scheduled to embark on an official tour of the Bharatpur and Khairthal-Tijara districts today. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav will accompany him throughout these engagements. According to the itinerary, the Chief Minister will depart from the Jaipur airport at 11:10 AM and arrive in Bayana by 11:50 AM. Upon reaching the Bidyari area in Bayana, he will lay the foundation stones and inaugurate several developmental projects. In the Khairthal-Tijara district, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various local infrastructure works. A public rally and project inauguration ceremony is scheduled between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. This will be followed by a dedicated interaction session with party workers from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This visit holds significant political weight as it follows the formation of the BJP board in the Khairthal Municipal Council. Together, the Chief Minister and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav will launch development initiatives valued at approximately Rs 110 crore across Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, and Kotputli-Behror districts. The Chief Minister is expected to return to Jaipur by 5:50 PM.
Severe Storm and Rain Lash Dausa District
Meanwhile, adverse weather conditions have caused widespread disruption in the Dausa district overnight. A powerful squall accompanied by heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in several locations. In the Jhanjhay Ka Bas area of Bandikui, high-velocity winds blew away tin roofs from multiple residential structures. Three members of a single family sustained injuries after being struck by a flying tin shed. The injured individuals include Ramesh Chand Bairwa, along with his mother and daughter. Tragically, a goat belonging to the family also died during the incident, plunging the locals into shock as administrative authorities monitor the situation.
Crop Damage and Tragic Suicide Incident in Dausa
The inclement weather has also severely impacted the agricultural sector, causing deep concern among local farmers. Ready-to-harvest bajra crops standing in the fields were flattened due to the strong winds, while harvested crops left in open threshing floors were drenched in rainwater. In a separate tragic development within the Dausa district, a 15-year-old adolescent died by suicide by hanging in Bhojyada village under the Jhapda police station limits. The deceased has been identified as Mankesh Meena. Upon receiving the alert, local police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and shifted it to the mortuary of the Lalsot hospital. Investigators are currently questioning family members and neighbors, though the exact motive behind the extreme step remains unknown at this stage.
Additionally, a dramatic highway incident unfolded in the Rajsamand district where a moving truck suddenly caught fire in the Chapli Ghata area under the Diver police station jurisdiction. Fierce flames erupted from the vehicle cabin almost immediately, engulfing the entire front section within moments. Displaying quick thinking, the driver pulled the truck over to the side of the highway and jumped out to safety. Prompt information led local police and a fire tender to rush to the spot. Firefighters immediately commenced operations to douse the flames. Preliminary findings suggest that a short circuit triggered the blaze, and police are continuing their inquiry to establish the exact cause.
