Operating under a newly finalized set of guidelines, these educational institutions will align their academic delivery and physical training models with the well-established protocols of the existing Sainik Schools in Jhunjhunu and Chittorgarh. The initiative aims to equip young female cadets with strong academic fundamentals alongside the mental and physical discipline necessary for future leadership roles and careers in the armed forces.
Academic Restructuring and CBSE Alignment
Under the newly outlined policies, English will serve as the primary medium of instruction across all classes. The academic progression will follow a general standard curriculum from Class 6 through Class 10, transitioning strictly to the science stream for Class 11 and Class 12. Additionally, the guidelines incorporate a provision to shift institutional affiliation from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education to the CBSE pattern once regulatory criteria and necessary prerequisites are fulfilled. This curricular transition is structured to enhance the competitiveness of students preparing for national-level entrance examinations and professional career pathways.
Selection Criteria and Examination Structure
Admissions to the military schools will be governed strictly through merit-based written tests. Prospective applicants entering Class 6 will be evaluated on language proficiency, mathematics, and general intelligence. For candidates seeking admission into Class 9, the competitive assessment will cover four core subject areas: mathematics, English, science, and social science. During the initial two operational years, intake will be restricted exclusively to Class 6. Once Class 9 operations commence in subsequent sessions, available vacant seats will be filled through the standardized competitive written assessment.
Tactical Training, NCC Mandate, and Scholarship Rules
Comprehensive physical and defense skills training form a core element of the daily regimen. Participation in NCC activities will be mandatory for all students up to Class 11. Cadets will also receive instruction in specialized disciplines including firearms shooting, self-defense tactics, and horse riding. The training regimen incorporates educational field tours, outdoor adventure activities, and structured manual exertion to build resilience, self-reliance, and physical endurance. Under the scholarship clause, enrolled cadets receiving financial scholarships must appear for the NDA entrance examination or equivalent armed forces selection tests. Non-scholarship students will not be subject to this mandatory service test clause.

Governance will be overseen by a Board of Governance headed by the Education Minister, while an Executive Committee chaired by the Education Secretary will handle operational management. Institutional leadership will be helmed by a Lieutenant Colonel or an equivalent military officer serving as Principal, with military officers also appointed to warden roles.

To support holistic cadet development, the campuses will feature specialized residential and athletic facilities. Beyond standard boarding hostels, dining halls, and mess infrastructure, the sites will include indoor sports halls, an auditorium, a fully equipped gymnasium, a swimming pool, and dedicated athletics running tracks. Outdoor sports infrastructure will comprise standard play fields dedicated to football, volleyball, basketball, and hockey.
