According to plans, preparations are underway to conduct high-speed train trials at an impressive speed of roughly 250 kilometers per hour on this track following Diwali.

To evaluate the ongoing work, North Western Railway General Manager Pankaj Sharma, accompanied by the DRM of Jodhpur division and other senior railway officials, conducted a thorough on-site inspection. The team visited Phulera Junction, Sambhar railway station, and the dedicated test track being developed between Gudha, Thathana, and Meethari. Officials evaluated the current status of construction and discussed execution details with engineers to ensure that all parameters are strictly met.

Spanning a length of approximately 64 kilometers between Gudha, Thathana, and Meethari, this specialized test track differs significantly from standard railway networks. Beyond supporting high-speed train operations, the infrastructure is engineered to test safety protocols, mechanical resilience, and various technological capabilities under extreme conditions. The track layout incorporates specialized test zones, sharp curves, and segments designed specifically for quick testing of rolling stock.

Railway authorities confirm that civil construction for the project is well underway, with track-laying operations having commenced alongside infrastructural developments for technical installations. During his inspection, the General Manager issued clear directives to complete all pending tasks strictly according to established standards, emphasizing that utmost attention must be paid to construction quality and safety measures. Trains will be pushed to speeds of around 250 kilometers per hour during the testing phase.
