Thieves Break Window and Steal Jewellery and Cash Worth 25 Lakh in Kailai Village as Family Slept in Courtyard

Burglars broke into Hansraj Gurjar's house in Kailai village under the Sikandra police station area in Dausa, stealing jewellery and cash valued at around 25 lakh while the family was asleep.

A major burglary took place in Kailai village under the Sikandra police station limits of Dausa district, where thieves targeted a residential house during the night. The intruders broke open the window of a back room, entered the premises, and decamped with cash and a large haul of gold and silver jewellery. The total value of the stolen valuables and cash is estimated to be around 25 lakh. The theft took place while the family members were fast asleep in the central courtyard, completely unaware of the break-in.

Break-in While Family Slept in the Courtyard

The incident occurred at the residence of Hansraj Gurjar, a resident of Kailai village. At night, Gurjar and his family were sleeping in the open courtyard of the house. Capitalising on the darkness, the burglars targeted a room situated at the rear of the building. They managed to break the room's window to gain entry. Once inside, the perpetrators thoroughly ransacked the cupboards and containers, taking away valuable gold and silver ornaments alongside stored cash before fleeing the spot.

The family discovered the crime only the following morning when they woke up and found the household items in total disarray. With open cupboards and missing valuables, they realised the house had been burgled and promptly alerted the Sikandra police station. A police team reached the residence shortly after receiving the call to begin their preliminary inspection of the crime scene.

FSL Team and Senior Police Officials Inspect the Spot

Given the scale of the theft and the value of the missing property, authorities escalated the investigation. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called in from Dausa to gather scientific clues. The forensic experts collected fingerprints and other physical evidence from the broken window, ransacked almirahs, and surrounding surfaces. Investigating officers also surveyed the area around the house to map out the potential entry and escape routes used by the criminals.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shankar Lal Meena also visited the spot to oversee the initial probe. He conducted an inspection of the scene and gathered full details from the investigating police officers. The Sikandra police are expanding their search in nearby areas and are examining CCTV footage from routes leading to and from the village to identify the culprits. Officers noted that a comprehensive assessment is underway to document every piece of stolen jewellery and the exact amount of cash taken.
