Women, female students, and philanthropists across Bikaner city and its surrounding rural belts have expressed profound respect and affectionate solidarity for Indian soldiers stationed along the nation's borders ahead of Raksha Bandhan. Participating in the 'Rakhi Se Raksha' special initiative organized by the Indian Postal Department, thousands of handcrafted and traditional Rakhis are being dispatched via Speed Post to military headquarters. These festive dispatches are structured to ensure that frontline jawans guarding remote boundaries receive these sacred tokens of affection well before the festival, bridging geographical distances through community participation.
Dedicated Counters and Priority Logistics at Post Offices
To streamline the surge of festive mail and prevent logistical bottlenecks, the postal authorities across the Bikaner division have established specialized operational facilities. Postal outlets in both urban hubs and rural sectors are distributing specialized protective envelopes designed specifically for mailing Rakhis securely. Furthermore, exclusive booking counters have been created at post office branches to allow women to dispatch their packages rapidly without enduring long queues.
Every envelope booked under this drive receives high priority sorting and swift transportation routing. Postal personnel throughout the region are operating under strict timelines to guarantee that dispatches reach their intended military destinations ahead of the main celebrations. The initiative has seen overwhelming enthusiasm from school pupils, university students, and female residents eager to send their blessings to army personnel.
Bikaner Postal Division Nears Annual Campaign Revenue Targets
Providing details on the campaign's operational impact, Superintendent of Bikaner Postal Division Ramavtar Soni highlighted the positive public turnout and institutional engagement supporting the initiative. The higher management had assigned the Bikaner division a performance target of executing 30,000 Speed Post dispatches and generating Rs 15 lakh in postal revenue during this campaign cycle.
Superintendent Ramavtar Soni confirmed that the postal division has already successfully generated over Rs 13 lakh in revenue as dispatches continue to pour in. In light of the approaching festival date, all incoming and outgoing Rakhi mail is being handled under accelerated dispatch protocols, ensuring that no consignment faces unnecessary delays in transit hubs.
Distribution Through Army Headquarters to Remote Border Posts
According to guidelines outlined by the postal department, all incoming packages dispatched by citizens are directed straight to official Army headquarters addresses. Upon arrival at these central military command centers, military administration logistics take over to distribute the individual Rakhis to soldiers deployed across forward posts, high-altitude positions, and remote border outposts.
This coordinated chain ensures that jawans posted in isolated regions remain emotionally connected with the populace they protect. By transferring bulk dispatches directly to military administration, the postal network guarantees safe, organized, and timely handovers directly into the hands of army personnel serving nationwide.
Community Voices Reaffirm National Solidarity with Border Troops
Civic organizations and local residents have strongly backed the drive, viewing it as a duty of gratitude toward defense personnel. Alka Pareek from the Jodbhir Bhairunath Ismail Foundation described the 'Rakhi Se Raksha' initiative as a moment of national pride, sharing that she and her three sisters are collectively sending Rakhis to army personnel via the local postal setup.
Emphasizing the emotional significance of the gesture, Alka Pareek noted that border-deployed soldiers should never feel isolated, as the entire nation firmly stands in solidarity behind their sacrifices. Expressing immense pride in honoring troops who protect the country under harsh environmental conditions, she added that the Bikaner sisters' collective drive transforms a traditional family celebration into a broad symbol of national unity and respect.
