A brutal late-night confrontation at the Gogamedi toll plaza in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district resulted in the murder of an on-duty toll employee. The violence erupted when three young men on a motorcycle were stopped from riding through the wrong side, leading to a fatal attack with sharp-edged weapons.
Dispute Over Entering Through Wrong Lane
The deadly clash occurred late at night when three unidentified youths arrived on a motorcycle and tried to bypass rules by riding through the wrong side of the toll barricades. An on-duty toll attendant, 21-year-old Karu Lal, intervened and asked the riders to clear the area and use the proper lane. The confrontation quickly escalated into an aggressive verbal altercation as the motorcyclists refused to comply.
Deadly Assault With Swords and Knives
As the argument intensified, the three men brandished swords and knives and launched a vicious, targeted attack on Karu Lal. Inflicted with catastrophic wounds from the blades, the young worker died on the spot. The deceased was identified as a native of Rajasthan's Jhalawar district who was employed at the Gogamedi toll plaza.
Assault Captured on CCTV as Police Launch Hunt
The entire sequence of the violent assault was recorded by the surveillance CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza. The camera footage clearly shows all three attackers wielding weapons and striking the employee. Immediately after the killing, the suspects fled the scene on their vehicle. The Gogamedi police have formally registered a criminal case and are analyzing the video recordings to identify and arrest the absconding culprits.
