A devastating road accident unfolded near Faredi Fanta in the Arnod region of Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district on Monday, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving three others critically injured. The high-speed collision occurred when a private bus crashed head-on into a passenger car. The severity of the impact was so intense that two car occupants perished instantly at the scene, while a woman and two children suffered severe injuries, triggering panic and a rush of locals to the crash site.
Tragedy Strikes Family from Madhya Pradesh
The victims travelling in the car hailed from the neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh. Sunil Jaiswal, a resident of Bannawada village located within the Rignod police station limits of the Jaora sector, was journeying with his family when the incident occurred. Sunil Jaiswal and his mother-in-law succumbed to their injuries on the spot due to the force of the collision. Meanwhile, his wife, Priyam Jaiswal, along with a young boy and girl who were also inside the vehicle, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Local Bystanders Spearhead Immediate Rescue Effort
Witnessing the tragic accident, nearby residents immediately mobilized to launch rescue operations. Without waiting for emergency medical services to arrive, locals rushed to extract the trapped victims from the wreckage and arranged private transportation to take them to Arnod Hospital. Medical staff at the facility administered preliminary treatment. However, owing to the critical medical condition of Priyam Jaiswal and both children, doctors decided to transfer all three injured individuals to the Pratapgarh District Hospital for specialized care.
Authorities Launch Investigation into Crash
Upon receiving information about the tragedy, administration and police officials rushed to the accident venue. Tehsildar Devhing and Station House Officer Shivlal Meena arrived at Faredi Fanta alongside a police contingent to examine the collision site and evaluate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Law enforcement personnel have initiated a formal inquiry to ascertain the exact cause of the crash. The tragic incident, which wiped out family members and left children fighting for survival, has plunged the local community into deep mourning while police continue their technical investigation.
