A wave of panic gripped a poultry farm located along Rawatbhata Road in Kota on Sunday evening after a massive python made its way inside. The reptile, measuring nearly seven to eight feet in length, sneaked straight into the bird enclosure and hunted down a chicken. As soon as the situation came to light, chaos ensued, prompting an immediate call to local wildlife rescuers.
Unusual Noise Alerts the Owner
According to details from the scene, the chickens inside the Rawatbhata Road farm suddenly started screaming loudly and running around in a panic on Sunday evening. Noticing this abnormal behavior, farm operator Abdul Salam sensed that something was wrong. When he walked inside the enclosure to inspect, he spotted a seven to eight-foot python sitting quietly in a corner after having already consumed a chicken. The terrifying sight left everyone working at the farm deeply rattled.
Prompt Intervention by Snake Catcher
Without wasting any time, Abdul Salam contacted snake catcher Govind Sharma to report the incident. Sharma arrived at the location shortly after with all the necessary rescue equipment. Exercising extreme caution, he began the process of subduing the python inside the pen. Following a considerable amount of effort, the giant snake was successfully and safely rescued, bringing immense relief to the owner and his staff.
Released Into Ladpura Forest
Following the rescue operation, the snake catcher transported the python to the dense forests of the Ladpura region and released it safely back into its natural habitat. Forest department officials were also duly informed about the entire episode. Govind Sharma noted that during the monsoon season and times of weather shifts, wild animals frequently wander into human settlements looking for food or safe shelter.

Wildlife experts point out that during heavy rains, water floods the burrows of snakes and pythons, forcing them to emerge into the open. Citizens are strongly advised that if they spot any wild animals in populated areas or residential zones, they should never attempt to catch them on their own. Instead, people must immediately notify a trained snake catcher or the forest department to prevent any tragic accidents.
