The police force in Rajasthan has taken a significant step toward modernizing and strengthening its tactical capabilities by sending a dedicated batch of women personnel for specialized anti-terror training. A total of 25 female officers have earned selection for the rigorous Black Cat commando course conducted by the National Security Guard, marking the first time an entire contingent of women from the state police force has cleared this demanding selection process to head to the premier training facility.
Twelve-Week Intensive Program at Manesar
Drawn from the RAC and MBC cadres, these 25 female personnel will report to the NSG center located in Manesar, Haryana, on August 24 to begin their 12-week specialized training schedule, which spans roughly three months. Running through November 13, the strenuous conditioning program will push the officers through grueling physical and mental endurance tests designed to prepare them for high-pressure security operations.
Mastering Urban Counter-Terrorism and Advanced Weaponry
Throughout the commando course, the trainees will receive specialized instruction in handling state-of-the-art weaponry and tactical gear. The curriculum places heavy emphasis on urban counter-terrorism tactics, equipping the officers to neutralize threats in densely populated environments. Additionally, the participants will undergo technical training in bomb detection, explosive disposal, and counter-IED operations.
Standing Out Among Thirty Thousand Applicants
The selection process was exceptionally competitive, drawing over 30,000 applications from across the police department before narrowing down to these 25 candidates through strict physical and mental evaluations. Although a commando school operates within Jodhpur, dispatching a dedicated cohort of women officers directly to the central NSG facility in Manesar is a groundbreaking development for the state force. Upon completing the curriculum on November 13, these officers will graduate as certified commandos ready to handle sensitive state security assignments.
