Kalyanpura panchayat in Kohra village, situated within the Kotputli region of Rajasthan, is witnessing extensive preparations for an expansive religious congregation at the renowned Bheru Baba temple. The historic shrine, nestled at the foothills, is hosting its 17th annual Lucky Mela. Open grounds have been utilized to create massive mounds of grain, where a JCB machine is deployed to level, spread, and process the base material efficiently. Local villagers note that a staggering 800 quintals of churma prasad is being prepared for this occasion, setting what is regarded as a unique benchmark across Rajasthan.

The sacred idol of Bheru Maharaj inside the sanctum holds enduring religious significance for devotees who believe that visiting the deity alleviates personal hardships and fulfills long-held wishes. Consequently, pilgrims journey from multiple regions beyond Rajasthan, including Gwalior and Morena in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, as well as Rajasthan's own districts such as Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, and Kota.

The opening day of the festival on January 29 will feature an imposing Kalash Yatra, designed to be the visual centerpiece of the celebrations. Approximately 11,000 women dressed in traditional cultural attire will carry ceremonial pots on their heads in a grand procession through regional villages toward the Bheru Baba temple. Accompanied by regional folk music, devotional hymns, and spirited chants, the march highlights the deep cultural fabric of rural Rajasthan.
Adding to the temple grounds' historical reverence is an ancient Khejri tree that has stood for centuries. According to local lore, this sacred tree marks the spot where the wedding of Sawai Bhoj and Padma Poswal took place. The tree remains lush and vibrant today, protected by a sturdy boundary wall constructed around its base. Pilgrims consider the ancient tree to possess miraculous attributes and seek its blessings during their temple visit.

Considering the high footfall expected across both days, local administrative authorities have implemented strict security measures and streamlined traffic routes around the hilly approaches.
