Improving his performance in the second attempt, Rana registered his best distance of 13.40 meters. Although he could not surpass that distance in his subsequent attempts, his 13.40-meter effort proved more than sufficient to seal the gold medal. This triumph marks India's third gold medal in para-athletics at the Glasgow 2026 Games.
Shubham Juyal Locks Silver on Final Attempt
Shubham Juyal displayed remarkable resilience throughout the shot put competition. He initiated his series with a solid 13.08-meter throw, gradually building momentum to reach 13.27 meters on his third try. After recording 13.16 meters on his fourth attempt and 12.88 meters on his fifth, Juyal delivered under pressure in his sixth and final attempt. He recorded his best throw of 13.28 meters to guarantee the silver medal for India.
