Purnia: Unwavering dedication and persistent hard work can make any challenging destination achievable. This adage comes alive through the journey of young physician Dr Priyank Kumar Sah from Purnia. Although he initially aspired to become an engineer, Priyank chose the medical path to respect the heartfelt wish of his late father. Today, he runs his own clinic in Purnia, serving patients selflessly and bringing his father's cherished vision to life.
The Medical Journey Through Kota and Lucknow
Dr Priyank Kumar Sah completed his foundational education up to the tenth standard at the esteemed Vidya Vihar School in Purnia. Following that, he moved to Kota in Rajasthan to finish his twelfth-grade studies. Through dedicated effort, he successfully cleared the all-India NEET examination in 2016 and went on to complete his MBBS degree from Lucknow. For his higher specialization, he earned an MD in Medicine over a three-year period from Mata Gujari Memorial Medical College in Kishanganj.
Specialized Training in Darbhanga and Launching the Clinic in Purnia
After finishing his postgraduate medical studies, Dr Priyank underwent a six-month specialized training program at the Global Diabetes Research Center in Darbhanga. Equipped with this expertise, he returned to his home district of Purnia. Near the busy Line Bazar Chowk, he established his practice under the name Global Diabetic Care, where he now treats patients daily.
Fulfilling a Father's Dream Amidst Challenges
Reflecting on his journey, Dr Priyank shares that his late father, Vinay Kumar Sah, desperately wanted him to become a doctor and serve society. Although Priyank originally wanted to pursue engineering, he altered his path entirely to fulfill his father's ambition. Despite encountering various hardships and struggles along the way, he never gave up. Dr Priyank expresses that while his father is no longer in this world, he feels immensely proud to have successfully realized the dream his father envisioned for him.
