Realme is actively gearing up to introduce a new smartphone in the Indian market, and early details point toward the inclusion of a gigantic 10,000mAh battery pack. The company has not yet shared any official confirmation regarding the device, but fresh specification leaks have outlined what users might expect. Industry indications suggest the upcoming handset could debut under the Realme 17 Pro or Realme 17 Pro+ moniker, directly succeeding the existing Realme 16 Pro lineup.
According to the leaked information, the hardware configuration includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset, a 200MP primary camera sensor, and an OLED panel. Should the 10,000mAh battery claim materialize, it would mark a significant capacity leap compared to previous iterations in the mid-premium segment.
Leaked Hardware Specifications of the Realme 17 Pro Series
Tipster Debayan Roy shared technical specifications for the upcoming Realme handset on the social platform X. The tipster stated that the technical data is confirmed, though exact clarity regarding the final retail naming remains unresolved. The smartphone could hit shelves as either the Realme 17 Pro or the Realme 17 Pro+.
The headline attribute in the leak is the inclusion of a 10,000mAh power cell. For comparison, both the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ carry 7,000mAh battery units. As a result, the proposed battery pack in the upcoming handset will offer a substantial bump in overall energy density and potential runtime over its direct predecessors.
200MP Primary Sensor and 3.5x Zoom Telephoto Unit
On the optical front, the upcoming Realme smartphone is tipped to house a triple rear camera arrangement. The primary unit will reportedly leverage a 200MP imaging sensor. Alongside the main shooter, the leak details a 50MP telephoto camera capable of delivering 3.5x zoom functionality. The third lens in the array is expected to serve as an ultrawide sensor.
Display duties are likely to be handled by a flat OLED panel boasting a 1.5K display resolution. The screen is said to run at a standard 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the leak notes that the panel may support a boosted 165Hz refresh rate in select gaming titles tailored for higher frame output.
Computational performance for the Realme 17 Pro series model is expected to rely on the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 processor. The structural chassis is said to incorporate a plastic mid-frame. Crucial specifics concerning system RAM capacity, onboard storage variants, wired charging wattage, and out-of-the-box software versions remain unrevealed at this stage.
Comparing the New Specifications to the Realme 16 Pro Lineup
Realme launched its Realme 16 Pro series earlier this year in January. Under that roster, the standard Realme 16 Pro features a 6.78-inch display powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G processor. Meanwhile, the higher-tier Realme 16 Pro+ is equipped with a 6.8-inch display and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 mobile platform. Both predecessors already provide a 200MP primary rear imaging sensor.
Looking at market positioning, the Realme 16 Pro 5G debuted at a starting price of ₹31,999, whereas the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G entered retail channels with a base price of ₹39,999. Realme has not yet declared any official rollout schedule, pricing tiers, or finalized spec sheets for the Realme 17 Pro series, meaning these hardware details should currently be treated as unverified leaks.
