Surender Singh चौधरी, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, became emotional after sharing a video on Instagram showing that the Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh had been filled back up with plastic bags and trash just days after he spent eight months clearing tons of waste from its waters. The viral footage has once again triggered widespread discussions on social media regarding river conservation and civic responsibility.
A Solo Mission Without Special Equipment
Working entirely alone and without the aid of any specialized tools or heavy machinery, Bittu dedicated eight months of his life to hauling garbage out of the riverbed. However, his painstaking efforts were seemingly undone in a matter of weeks as fresh layers of refuse accumulated along the banks, neutralizing the grueling manual labor he had invested into restoring the local water body.
Refusing to Surrender to Despair
Despite being deeply disheartened by the rapid re-pollution of the river, Bittu refused to throw in the towel and immediately jumped back into action. Though he is not an expert swimmer, he did not hesitate to step back into the water to haul out the debris piece by piece, with his video clearly capturing the grim reality of plastic waste choking the natural banks.
Reaching Out for Public Solutions
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, he voiced his frustration in the post's caption by stating that he never imagined his eight months of relentless toil would go to waste in this manner. Furthermore, he urged internet users to come forward with practical suggestions and effective methods to clear out the persistent trash from the Ajnar River, keeping alive his ongoing battle for environmental cleanliness.
