Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the holy city of Ayodhya on November 8 to take part in the Deepavali festivities alongside local residents. During his itinerary, he paid homage at the Ram temple, where he offered formal prayers before Ram Lalla. Seeking divine blessings, he prayed for the overall advancement of the country, social welfare, and lasting prosperity for all citizens before joining local community members to mark the festive occasion.
Safeguarding Devotees and Religious Freedom
Addressing a gathering in the holy city, the Chief Minister underscored that the era of state aggression against pilgrims had come to an end. Reflecting on past hardships faced by devotees, he asserted that no one in the present administration would ever dare to shoot bullets at followers of Lord Ram. He further noted that intimidation and police batons could no longer be used to stop anyone from chanting Jai Shri Ram. Moving forward, traditional religious processions, specifically the 5 kosi, 14 kosi, and 84 kosi parikramas, will continue smoothly without administrative restrictions or interruptions.
Preserving the Grandeur and Heritage of Ayodhya
Highlighting the transformation of the temple town, Yogi Adityanath insisted that Ayodhya must reflect the stature and spiritual majesty of Lord Shri Ram. He emphasized making the entire city pristine, beautiful, well regulated, and dignified in every aspect. Calling upon citizens to assume collective responsibility, the Chief Minister urged everyone to protect the town’s sacred identity, honor, and material assets. He stated firmly that no one would be permitted to tarnish the city's global reputation or plunder its local wealth in the times ahead.
Celebrations in Nishad Basti and Ashok Singhal Ward
In a bid to share the joy of Diwali with the broader community, the Chief Minister visited underprivileged households, sanitation workers, and local boatmen residing in Ashok Singhal Ward and Nishad Basti.
