Speaking in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar launched a strong political attack against Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Projecting long-term political dominance for the ruling coalition in the state, Rajbhar dismissed opposition claims ahead of the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, asserting that the opposition leadership remains disconnected from electoral realities.
Projection of 312 assembly seats and a three-decade tenure
Addressing political forecasts, Om Prakash Rajbhar stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party's hold on power will not be confined to securing a third term alone. Instead, he claimed that the BJP will govern Uttar Pradesh continuously for 30 years. Framing his prediction for the upcoming 2027 state elections, Rajbhar maintained that the BJP will win more than 312 seats.
Taking aim at the primary opposition figures, Rajbhar remarked that both Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are operating under severe misconceptions. He stated that the moment vote counting takes place, their political ambitions will collapse. When questioned about the Uniform Civil Code, Rajbhar voiced support for the policy stance, noting that the Union Home Minister had stated the absolute truth on the matter.
Rebuttal over Amit Shah's visit and opposition travel habits
Om Prakash Rajbhar strongly countered Akhilesh Yadav's remarks regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to the state. Questioning the Samajwadi Party chief's dedication to his political base, Rajbhar remarked that Yadav should be allowed to speak as much as he likes because he will simply depart for a vacation abroad once elections conclude. Rajbhar added that Yadav is fully aware that his party stands no chance of forming the next government in Uttar Pradesh.
Defense of hospital infrastructure and OPD patient volumes
In response to persistent criticisms from Akhilesh Yadav concerning public healthcare infrastructure, Om Prakash Rajbhar scrutinized the track record of the previous Samajwadi Party administration. He pointedly asked where Yadav received medical treatment when he fell ill during his tenure as Chief Minister, questioning whether he ever sought care at a state-run medical facility.
Defending the current public healthcare setup, Rajbhar maintained that existing government hospitals are operating 100 times better than they did during the Samajwadi Party's rule. He invited Yadav to Ambedkar Nagar to witness healthcare improvements directly if he remained unconvinced. Providing operational metrics from state medical facilities, Rajbhar noted that the Lucknow Medical College handles between 10,000 and 12,000 OPD patients daily, while smaller regional hospitals consistently cater to 3,000 to 4,000 outpatient visits every single day.
Critique of alliance decisions involving Swami Prasad Maurya
Om Prakash Rajbhar also targeted Akhilesh Yadav's recent refusal to align with Swami Prasad Maurya, characterizing the Samajwadi Party leader's statements as lacking political weight. Rajbhar recalled that approximately 10 days earlier, Yadav had openly declared that all former associates were welcome to return and that he had no reservations about their comeback.
Pointing out that Swami Prasad Maurya had previously contested elections on the Samajwadi Party ticket, Rajbhar argued that Yadav's political stances shift based purely on convenience. He remarked that while the SP leadership currently rules out a tie-up, they would not hesitate to invite Maurya back the moment political necessity demands it.
