While addressing a public gathering from a stage in Majhauliraj under the Salempur region of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, Deoria Sadar MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi delivered a sharp and assertive statement regarding the recent controversy involving the depiction of an AK-47 rifle symbol on Islamic flags. He also launched a forceful counter-attack against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi over his remarks. Shalabh Mani Tripathi stated that putting an AK-47 emblem on Islamic flags is a deliberate attempt to convey a distorted and wrong message in the guise of Islamic traditions.
Sanatani Community Will Never Be Intimidated
The BJP MLA emphasized that the Sanatani population of Majhauliraj and Deoria will not cower or back down due to the flags featuring the AK-47 symbol that were put up in the area. He claimed that the Sanatani community does not live in fear, but instead stands firm to confront extremist elements. Shalabh Mani Tripathi further warned that if any further attempts are made to use Islamic flags as a cover to display the AK-47 symbol, the local administration will take stern and strict action against those responsible. The legislator maintained an aggressive and uncompromising tone throughout his address.
Sharp Retaliation Against Asaduddin Owaisi
Continuing his speech from the dais, the Sadar MLA noted that ever since the administration took decisive action to remove the objectionable AK-47 flags, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has been extremely flustered. He pointed out that Owaisi has been claiming that authorities got scared of their flag, and asserted that Owaisi must realize that the Sanatanis of Majhauliraj and Deoria are fearless.
Celebrate Festivals Without Threatening Others
Shalabh Mani Tripathi stated that everyone is free to celebrate their festivals with joy, but issued a stark warning that if anyone attempts to intimidate Sanatanis on the sacred soil of Deoria by brandishing AK-47 emblems under the guise of Islamic flags, they will be taught a severe lesson. The political climate in the region remains charged following these remarks.
Reference to Ram Nagina Yadav Murder
Shalabh Mani Tripathi also brought up a sensitive past incident during his speech, stating that when travelers enter Deoria on their way to Salempur, a structure resembling the Babri Masjid immediately catches their eye near the railway overbridge. The MLA mentioned that when the public elected him in the year 2022, that structure bothered him deeply because it had been built by illegally encroaching upon government land in broad daylight to set up a mazar. He added that when their pracharak Ram Nagina Yadav strongly opposed this structure resembling a Babri Masjid, Ram Nagina Yadav was brutally murdered in broad daylight.
