Meerut Nurse's 'Suicide' Turns Out to Be Murder, Handwriting Mismatch Exposes Boyfriend Who Poisoned Her Drip

A nurse's death inside a Meerut hospital that first looked like suicide turned out to be murder, with her boyfriend Suresh and his friend Farhan allegedly poisoning her drip. A handwriting mismatch on the suicide note exposed the plot, leading to both men's arrest.

A 25-year-old nurse's death inside a private hospital in Meerut has turned out to be a carefully staged murder, not a suicide as it first appeared. Neha, who worked at MCC Hospital in the Lohiyanagar area, was found dead with sulphur tablets and a note beside her body, and the case initially looked like a clear-cut suicide. But as the police investigation moved forward, it became evident that her boyfriend Suresh had poisoned her with the help of his friend Farhan.

Neha had reportedly been pushing Suresh to marry her for some time, while Suresh was in no mood to take the relationship to that stage. To escape the pressure of marriage, he allegedly worked out a plan to permanently get rid of her, so that the relationship would never have to be explained to anyone and no questions would ever be raised about it.

A poisoned glucose drip in the operation theatre

On the day of the incident, Neha told Suresh that she was feeling extremely weak. Investigators say Suresh used this moment to lead her into the operation theatre on the pretext of treatment, put her on a glucose drip, and secretly mixed a poisonous chemical into it. The poison spread through her body within a short time and she died, with the entire act designed to look like a natural medical emergency rather than a crime.

A fake note and scattered tablets to fake a suicide

After the killing, Suresh and Farhan allegedly tried hard to pass the death off as suicide. They are accused of writing a fake note on Neha's own notepad and placing it near her body, while also scattering sulphur tablets around to make it look like she had taken her own life. But Neha's family were not convinced that she would end her own life, and they raised questions over the handwriting on the note, saying the letters did not look like hers at all.

How her real handwriting cracked the case

When investigators matched the note against samples of Neha's actual handwriting, the mismatch was clear and the lie fell apart almost immediately. Officers then pulled the hospital's CCTV footage and checked mobile call records, which deepened the suspicion around Suresh. Under intense questioning, Suresh and Farhan are said to have confessed to the murder, after which police arrested both men, sent them to jail and began further legal proceedings in the case.

What CO Sangram Singh said about the probe

CO Sangram Singh and SO Sumit Tomar reached the hospital to examine the case and went through the CCTV footage themselves. According to Singh, the footage showed Neha entering a room with Suresh Chand and Farhan, and the two men were seen coming out a short while later wearing surgical gloves on both hands, a detail that first drew the attention of investigators. Acting on that suspicion, police took the two into custody and questioned them, and they eventually admitted to killing Neha.

Singh also said that Suresh Chand had drawn Neha into a relationship within just a few days of her joining the hospital by promising to marry her, and the two went on to have a physical relationship, of which Farhan was also aware throughout. That relationship eventually reached Suresh's wife, after which frequent arguments began breaking out between the couple at home, and that mounting domestic tension is believed to have fed directly into the plan to kill Neha.
