A chaotic scene unfolded at a Samajwadi Party gathering in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday when a sudden surge of party workers onto the dais left top elected leaders without seating space. The commotion began immediately after party national general secretary Shivpal Yadav arrived at the venue, prompting a frantic rush among cadres to greet and felicitate him on stage.
Stage Overrun By Party Cadres
Shivpal Yadav had arrived in Deoria to participate in a memorial meeting organized in honour of Mohan Singh. The moment he reached the main platform, a massive crowd of party workers climbed onto the dais alongside him. Within minutes, the platform became overcrowded, leading to pushing and jostling, which severely constrained movement for senior leaders already seated there.
Faced with a complete lack of space and rising disorder, Salempur Member of Parliament Ramashankar Rajbhar and Sultanpur Member of Parliament Ram Bhual Nishad were compelled to vacate the stage. Both parliamentarians stepped down and took seats among the attendees in the rear rows. The unusual sight quickly caught the attention of camera crews at the event. Noticing media personnel filming the MPs sitting in the back, the organizers issued announcements from the microphone urging both leaders to return to the stage. However, with the platform still packed with cheering workers, proper and dignified seating could not be restored easily.
Shivpal Yadav Stresses Organizational Discipline
Once order was partially established, Shivpal Yadav addressed the gathered cadres and delivered a firm lecture on decorum. He pointed out that internal discipline is the backbone of any political movement. Yadav told the audience that if party workers dedicate themselves to disciplined and unified efforts, unseating the incumbent government would not take much time, reiterating the essential value of organizational restraint.
Sharp Retort To Om Prakash Rajbhar
During the event, Shivpal Yadav was asked about recent controversial remarks made by Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar. Rajbhar had claimed that painting the Samajwadi Party's PDA campaign chariot in saffron would remind voters of police firing on devotees in the past. Dismissing the charge with sharp mockery, Yadav remarked that Rajbhar had lost his mental stability and stood in urgent need of a qualified medical specialist. He added that if Rajbhar could not locate a competent doctor, he was welcome to seek advice, and they would readily recommend one for him.
